roastwork is an independent coffee roasting company established in 2014. Our vision is to promote locally roasted specialty coffee. We start from farm level and oversee every single step striving for best quality from farm to your cup in a sustainable and responsible fashion.

 

Sustainability

Our mission in coffee is beyond the taste and sustainability plays the most important role in our value. As a socially responsible coffee roaster our coffee is 100% sustainable and this is how we source our green coffee bean

Direct trade

We buy our coffee directly from farms. We talk to farms directly with traceable information of each any every single crop and at the same time we make sure every single penny we spent on the coffee will go back to the land and people to improve coffee quality and to help the farming community. 

Grow our own coffee trees

In 2015 we have invested in a farm and wet mill project in Colombia. We are now the proud owner of 1000+ coffee tree working with professionals and locals to create some of the highest quality coffee with sustainability and eco-friendly in our mind.

Green bean partner

We only work with green bean partners who take sustainability serious in their coffee. Their commitment to sustainability is not limited to certification compliance.  Sustainability is central to the approach of their companies, from offering better farm gate pricing for farmers through to helping farmers improve soil fertility and improve yields.

Our sustainability work is on going and not limit to what we have been doing so far. With your help and support the idea of sustainability in coffee can be acknowledged. 

 

Quality

We source our coffee bean globally in a regular base to ensure green bean quality is always top notch and in season. Our team are coffee professionals who acquired CQI Q Arabica Grader & Q Robuster Grader Certifications which are the highest level in the industry.

 

Roasters

Consistency is paramount to us and we are running on 3 Giesen roasting machines from Holland with digital burner and air pressure controls. Computerized roast profiler aids our roast yet we still insist on roasting every single batch manually by our roasting team. Perfection can be achieved when craftsmanship meets consistency. Our current production capacity is about 2.5tons weekly.

 

Social Awareness 

Direct trading with farms and importing green bean from conscience importers is our business model and we believe while you are drinking the coffee, coffee producers around the globe could also benefit from coffee too. In fact, we have planted 1000 coffee trees of our own in Colombia to help this beautiful coffee nation and people.

 

Carbon Footprint Reduction

Coffee business often involve a great deal of carbon emission as the origin and roasting are seperated by continents. Although espresso are invented in Italy however Europe does not produce a single coffee bean commercial. The massive carbon footprint is created while green coffee is harvested and shipped to roasting facility and then ship to your home again. We are changing this by roasting coffee in the same city as you live.

 

What else?

We love our coffee and we are passionate about what we do. Currently we are the official partner and host of the World Aeropress Championship in Hong Kong as we are also champion back in 2018. The idea of roasting and brewing amazing coffee while promoting specialty coffee industry we simply cannot say no to it!
